Adding new pieces today!

Hello blogging world! As you know I have a million and one thoughts I'd love to blog about but I'm finding time to do so very difficult so I'm seizing the moment to pop in and let you all know a quick update - otherwise how else will you get to know me :)

Today while my little man is sleeping and my little girl is off being an amazing "big" girl at Kindy I'm hoping to add many new beatuiful breastfeeding dresses and of course stylish maternity wear pieces to the website http://feedingfashion.com/collections/melke-breastfeeding-dresses I'd love for you to find a quick moment and check it out! Plus any thoughts on the website and collection would be great as I've only just upgraded the entire site and of course the collection is always a work in progress and expanding all the time with new fabrics and playing with styles so any feedback would be great!

As you may have seen in my last post, I've just added our very first black breastfeeding and maternity dress! We've always had black and white cotton available for custom made pieces but this is the first time I've had an actual dress up on the site. I LOVE colour and fun bright prints (plus they hide a mirriad of sins ha!) but I know that everyone loves a little black dress and it is hard to go by when you want something to really last and be a versatile piece to take you from breastfeeding at the park in public with your playgroup, to breastfeeding discreetly at a wedding and this dress as with most of our pieces do exactly that! Our Liberty of London tana lawn cotton is amazing and really lends itself to casual elegance that literally can take you anyway, which I simply love!

So here's one of our latest prints, the stylish Melke breastfeeding and maternity dress named Emelyne, a classic and beautiful name itself, so fitting for this gorgeous print!

For many more amazing breastfeeding tops and dresses to be added to the Samples page and main Collection today please have a look at our online shop and it would be great if you could help spread the word and of course I'd love to hear all about you so please feel free to comment below.

So my blogging has been.... ahhhh..... next to non existent... Oh well, I am trying!

I blame my beautiful little ones who are as I type climbing all over me and my chair. So in saying that I had better go and be the stay at home mum I love to be and will try to blog another day.... I have much I'd love to say and hope to share, with more about me, my little lovely life and the journey that is.

So - coming soon - IVF our story and if you've ever had your appendix out and are having fertility troubles - get checked!

More about breastfeeding, tips for feeding in public and more on my gorgeous breastfeeding dresses and joy and challenges around that, extended breastfeeding as my little boys turns 19 months and this lovely time of nursing him will soon surely take it's natural and inevitable course and come to end.

More on design and things I love

More on trying to build an online store with 2 little monkeys literally on my back :)

Had better go, but hey at least I blogged today! Hooray!

Talk soon world

Falling in Love all over again!

Looking for something special and something new, I with what seemed like 1000s of other mums, went off to the Pregnancy Babies and Childrens Expo at South Bank  this weekend. There were some lovely things on offer like the cute onesies from Finlee & Me which I of course had to pick up for our little boy who has not arrived just as yet, plus it’s good to support other mums in business J
There was certainly a LOT of big business brands there, which I don’t remember being quite so dominant when I went the first time 3 years ago and noticeably there seems to be a booming business in natural or cloth nappies if the number of these stands was anything to go by?
Now I won’t say what I really felt about the maternity and breastfeeding wear on offer because that may bring some bad karma my way but I will say that I felt so proud and absolutely fell in love all over again with my beautiful collection of Melke breastfeeding dresses and tops! Being 36 weeks pregnant I’m not feeling all that glamorous at the moment but I received 7 separate compliments on how lovely my dress was and how nice it was to see a pregnant lady in a beautiful dress with frills no less! Four people even asked if it was Liberty of London fabric (which it is of course) and well let’s just say if you know Liberty you know what that means. I still can’t believe the worldwide cult following the brand has!
So it was a great weekend to reinvigorate the soul, emerge myself in all things baby and toddler and be reminded in person, by strangers, how great our breastfeeding and maternity clothing is – I can’t wait for Melke Spring Summer 11 -12!

Hello world!

Hello everyone!

This is my very first blog - exciting! I'm a mum with a beautiful little family, a new baby boy on the way and also have a wonderful business I've created around the family where I design and sell via my online store http://www.feedingfashion.com/ beautiful  designer maternity clothes and breastfeeding dresses and tops. Mums love our pieces for their exceptional quality and stylish designs, you would never know they were breastfeeding clothes and work perfectly through pregnancy, breastfeeding and well beyond.

I hope to chat about living the dream and would love to meet other inspiring mums and interesting people along the way!

Enjoy
